Norco chose to design the Aurum around the real-world benefits of a 7-speed cassette, using 142mm rear axle spacing to optimize the chainline and increase heel clearance, while keeping tighter gear ratios for race-winning runs. For the Aurum A7 you get the solid-performing SRAM GX drivetrain with an 11-25T 7-speed cassette, SRAM Guide R brakes with 200mm rotors, and a Race Face crankset.
